A Donald Trump-inspired Robot Wars machine is set to make the BBC show great again.
The tenth series of the BBC show launches this weekend and there’s a host of new features and contestants ready to do battle.
A new robot contestant, named Donald Thump, is the first ever satirical machine to enter the competition, which sees combat robots fight to the death for ultimate supremacy.
Junior doctor James Davies, 23, created the ‘thatch-topped’ steel version of the controversial US President and gave the killer machine a simple directive: to ‘make robot wars great again’.
‘You have never seen a robot like this before. It is one of the greatest. It is so powerful. It has got wheels. It has got spinners, weapons and metal. It has all the bits,’ said Davies of his dominating creation.
However, he’s not the only one looking to bring something new to the show, as producers recently announced a wealth of new features for series 10.

An exciting new development is the Ten Robot Rumble, which will see a load of robots going at it in a fight to the death with no wildcard.
Another new section is Fog Of War, which sees the machines battle it out in fog – although it is not yet clear how we are supposed to see this event.
The classic series returns on Sunday with presenters Dara O’Briain and Angela Scanlon helming the popular cult show.
