      Nevada, Missouri, homes damaged during morning storms, tornado warning
      Several areas of Nevada, Missouri, in Vernon County were damaged in a possible tornado Wednesday morning. The damage came around 7:40 a.m. Multiple semitrucks overturned on Interstate 49, roofs were torn off structures and trees were uprooted, the National Weather Service reported. The National Weather Service also noted a "tornado track" from the south to the east sides of Nevada. The Vernon County Sheriff's Office posted that all units and volunteers headed to damaged areas in the county. The Bates County Sheriff's Office also said that all of its assets were going to assist in tornado recovery in Vernon County. "Please pray for the community as there has been a lot of damage but by the grace of God no fatalities," the Bates County Sheriff's Office said. "Our staff responded within minutes of the tornado being confirmed with damage from Moundville to Shell City." Community members shared photos and videos of the damage with KMBC 9. Debris can be seen in homes, on top of cars and all along several roads. Radar images show the winds and storm debris reports at the worst of the storm in the Nevada area.
