English football columnist Richard Jolly names his Best XI in the English Premier League for the November 29-30.

Goalkeeper: Simon Mignolet (Liverpool) – Struggled this season, but made three excellent saves against Stoke to ensure he recorded just a third clean sheet of the season.

Right-back: Calum Chambers (Arsenal) – Has responded well to his traumatic game at Swansea. The youngster helped Arsenal snuff out West Brom.

Centre-back: John O’Shea (Sunderland) – A stalwart of the first defence to stop Chelsea scoring this season. The Irishman won his battle with Diego Costa.

Centre-back: Jan Vertonghen (Tottenham) – Mauricio Pochettino seems to belatedly realised the gifted Belgian is his best centre-back and Vertonghen produced a classy display against Everton.

Left-back: Aaron Cresswell (West Ham) – Capped a superb start to his West Ham career by breaking forward to deliver a brilliantly-taken winner against Newcastle.

Right midfield: Leroy Fer (QPR) – Often a specialist at hitting the woodwork, the Dutchman finally scored his first QPR goal in the action-packed victory over Leicester.

Centre midfield: Lee Cattermole (Sunderland) – The best player on the pitch against Chelsea, snapping into tackles and dominating the zone where the league leaders’ flair players operate.

Centre midfield: Yaya Toure (Manchester City) – Is starting to look back to his best. Scored for a second successive game to set City on their way to victory at Southampton.

Left midfield: Santi Cazorla (Arsenal) – Provided probably the cross of the weekend with a wonderful curling centre that Danny Welbeck headed in for Arsenal’s winner at West Brom.

Centre forward: Harry Kane (Tottenham) – Starred without scoring, playing a part in both Tottenham goals as they came from behind against Everton.

Centre forward: Robin van Persie (Manchester United) – Put an anonymous display against Arsenal behind him with a glorious goal against Hull as he returned to form.
