There was another royal wedding over the weekend - and it was one for the history books.
Three months after his plans to marry were shared, Lord Ivar Mountbatten, the Queen's cousin, has become the first member of the royal family to have a same-sex wedding.
Lord Ivar tied-the-knot to his partner, James Coyle, in front of family and friends at a country house in Devon on Saturday. His three daughters were in attendance along with his ex-wife Penny, who Lord Ivar has remained close with since their split in 2011 following 17 years of marriage.
In fact, it was Penny who walked her former partner down the aisle at the ceremony, after Lord Ivar revealed he had asked her to be a part of his big day in an Instagram post.
Lord Ivar is a godparent to Prince Edward's daughter Louise and the Earl and Countess of Wessex are godparents to Lord Ivar's two oldest daughters, but the royal couple reportedly couldn't make the wedding.
"Their diaries are arranged months in advance and they were not free," Ivar told the Daily Mail. "But they adore James," he added.
According to the newspaper, singers from a gospel choir provided the music during the service, which was followed by monkfish for dinner, speeches and dancing. The couple are due to honeymoon in either Greece or Croatia later in the year.
Speaking about his decision to marry James, who he met in the ski resort Verbier in 2014, Lord Ivar said: "I have had the whole marriage thing - and been very happy - but James hasn't, so I see it as a validation of my love for him."
He added: "Being a Mountbatten was never a problem." Congrats to the newlyweds!
