About the Fellowship Program

Magazines Canada Fellowships seek to develop the next generation of professionals working in Canadian magazine media. The Fellowship program was launched in 2016 to invest in the future of the magazine sector by supporting emerging journalists through a series of paid fellowships with Canadian magazines across the country.

Fellows work with a lead mentor at their host magazine, gain valuable experience and broaden their professional network. A Fellow's salary is covered by the Magazines Canada Fellowship program and includes a contribution from the host magazine.

The 2018 Fellow will be announced at Magazines Canada's annual MagNet conference April 25–26, 2018 in Toronto. The Fellow will choose their host magazine from the eligible expressions of interest.
